This is our 3" square newel post sanded on all 4 sides.  Ready to paint (poplar) or stain. These are shipped with packaging to protect all four corners from damage. We typically stock these 48” and 59” newels in Poplar, Red Oak, Heart Cherry, Hard Maple, White Oak and Alder wood species. Many folks use these as "Craftsman" style newels.  We sell metal caps separately - LJ-9017-3.0, (flat top metal cap), LJ-9018-3.0 (peak top metal cap) and we also sell a wood cap - LJ-9011.

There are multiple lengths  available  -  31", 34". 36", 39" and 42". This S-5005 has a 7" top block and a 20" turning length and variable bottom blocks.   The 5005 baluster has a 5-3/4" top block and 1 17-1/2" turning length and variable bottom blocks. Available in Gloss Primed, Poplar, Red Oak and Hard Maple.  

The most popular wood baluster in America. This series of 5015 baluster has a fixed 7-1/2" bottom block for each size. The LJ-5015 series is similar,  but has graduating bottom blocks. Available in Gloss Primed.

The most popular round tapered wood baluster in America. Available in poplar.  Typically in stock. Tapers to 5/8" diameter at top.  Each "pool cue" baluster has a 3/4" diameter bottom dowel pin. The S-5340 baluster is similar,  but is 1-3/4" diameter at bottom. Buy the poplar wood species if you are painting white.
