This newel is made from 3" square stock.
This newel has a 23" turning length, a 5" landing block and a 5" acorn top with variable bottom block. Bottom block is 14-1/4" on the LJP-3240, 24-1/4" on the LJP-3242, 28-1/4" on the LJ-P3253, 39-1/4" on the LJP-3255 and 44-1/4" on the LJP-3258.
